LANDSCAPE GARDENING
HUDDERSFIELD PROJECT - CLAYTON WEST
This garden landscaping project involved the conversion of 
a steep banking which was virtually unusable into an attractive area with elevated decking providing a seating area. This project also involved the laying of a new lawn using lawn turf and the creation of a new pond.

Day 1 - The steep banking was cleared as were other plants and shrubs within the existing garden not required for the project.
Day 2 - Excavation of the steep slope began to prepare the area for the new pond and retaining timbers.
Day 3 - Excavation of the site of the new pond was completed and land support structures were put in place.
Day 4 - The remaining supports structures were put in place.
Day 5 - The pond liner was fitted and both fish and aquatic life was transferred to the new pond whilst ensuring the present PH levels were maintained.
Day 6 - The old pond area was backfilled and the rustic timbers which make up the lower retaining wall were put in place.maintained.
Day 7/8 - The upper retaining wall using rustic timber poles was completed as were the steps up to the top level.
Day 9 - The top level decking was completed. The steps, pathway and marginal area of the pond were filled with green slate aggregate.
Day 10 - The ground level was prepared for turf, paving and the lower level decking.
Day 11 - The framework for the lower level decking was constructed.
Day 12 - The laying of the lawn tuf and the construction of the lower level decking continued.
Day 13 - The new lawn was finished and the construction of the lower level decking was completed brining the project to an end.
